At Eurobike 2026, Canyon Bicycles is unveiling its first V2X-enabled e-bike, the Roadlite:ON V2X, featuring V2X technology from cubesys GmbH, an nfiniity company.

The Roadlite:ON V2X bike integrates the V2X interface directly into the carbon frame, preserving both ride feel and aesthetics. The system enables the bike to communicate with surrounding vehicles and infrastructure, detecting potential hazards early and alerting the rider through visual and haptic feedback.

A further highlight is the hands-on experience of the V2X technology integrated into the new bike, demonstrated through live sessions and test rides together with Volkswagen.

Canyon Bicycles can be experienced both indoors at 📍 Hall 11.0 / Stand B50 and in the outdoor Open Air area at 📍 F12 / Stand B52, showcasing the latest innovations across both exhibition spaces.

Direct communications between vehicles, pedestrians, and infrastructure, based on 3GPP and ETSI TC ITS standards, were tested during the 4th C-V2X Plugtests™ interoperability event in Malaga, Spain. The event was held in partnership with the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) and hosted by DEKRA.

We were proud to be among the 24 participating companies and 82 experts contributing both onsite and remotely. Over 60 test scenarios were executed with an impressive 94% success rate, validating the maturity and interoperability of Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) and ITS technologies.

The event showcased advanced safety use cases, such as Collective Perception Message (CPM) and Vulnerable Road Users (VRU), both demonstrating the interoperability of C‑ITS platforms with Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs).

In parallel, vendors of On‑Board Units (OBUs), Roadside Units (RSUs), and PKIs conducted interoperability tests to validate their implementations and ensure compliance with ITS standards.

As an event partner, 5GAA hosted a workshop on the C‑V2X ecosystem and the implications of ETSI ITS Release 2. The workshop brought together key stakeholders from governmental bodies and industry leaders to discuss 5G‑V2X advancements, emerging security challenges, and the current progress in integrating Advanced Driving Systems (ADS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS).

It is within this context that our ongoing partnership with the Connected Motorcycle Consortium (CMC) takes on profound significance.

As associate members of the CMC, we are committed to advancing the cause of motorcycle safety through technological innovation, research, and collaboration. The CMC, founded in 2016, is a collaborative effort between motorcycle manufacturers, suppliers, researchers, and institutions dedicated to leveraging connectivity technologies to enhance motorcycle safety.

Our collaboration with the CMC focuses on using V2X communication to reduce risks and prevent accidents for motorcyclists. Through our continued involvement, we contribute to ongoing initiatives on motorcycle safety.

Together with the CMC, we're shaping a future where roads are safer for all riders.

At the Connected Motorcycle Consortium demo event at Lausitzring, nfiniity GmbH partnered with Ducati Motor Holding and Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. to demonstrate Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication for rider safety. The real-world use cases were shown with a Ducati motorcycle and a Lamborghini Urus, with the Urus equipped with a cube:evk as the On-Board Unit (OBU).
