Your V2X Platform
The cube:evk is a V2X and edge-AI development platform for automotive, smart mobility, and connected robotics applications. It is built around the i.MX8MP SoC, with a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, an integrated 2.3 TOPS NPU for AI inference acceleration, and hardware-accelerated multimedia and security blocks. The cube:evk targets ETSI ITS-G5 and C-V2X applications.
The cube platform unifies several subsystems:
cube:radio
Direct V2X link-layer access for ITS-G5 and C-V2X. Send/receive frames with full control over power, data rate, and channel parameters.
cube:its
ROS 2-based ITS framework with CAM, DENM, CPM, and VAM facilities. Full ETSI compliance in a familiar ROS 2 environment.
cube:ubx
High-rate GNSS/IMU fusion access. Get position, velocity, heading, and dead-reckoning data from the on-board u-blox receiver.
cube:rpc
Remote Procedure Calls for controlling your cube over the network. Build clients in any Cap'n Proto-supported language.
The cube:evk combines V2X communication, precision positioning, edge AI, network-based communication, and open-source ITS protocols on a single platform. Network connectivity covers Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and CAN/CAN-FD for backend, V2N, and in-vehicle integration. It targets autonomous vehicles, smart infrastructure, and connected robotics systems.
